5 Top Tips that will allow you to clean your bathroom like a pro

As one of the busiest spaces in your home, it’s easy to see how your bathroom can often become dirty, messy and a magnet for mould, dirt and rust.

However, to maintain the longevity of your bathroom space, whilst keeping it looking sparkling clean, there are lots of ways that you can improve the aesthetic appeal of your bathroom so that it remains looking and feeling as good as new.

We’ve created a helpful guide outlining 5 top tips that will allow you to clean your bathroom like a pro. And the good news is that the majority of the cleaning solutions we will cover are likely to be lurking at the back of your kitchen cupboard!

Descale your showerheads

To prevent your showerhead from becoming clogged with limescale and dirt, we’d recommend soaking your shower overnight in a solution that consists of half white vinegar and half tap water. Once you have left the showerhead to soak over night, simply rinse the next day.

If you do this on a monthly basis, it will help to keep your shower looking and feeling pristine clean! After all, whether you’ve been working hard in the office or the gym, there really is no better feeling than a refreshing shower, right?

Cleaning your mirror

A mirror can transform the look and feel of space, however mirrors that are smeared and dirty are definitely not going to enhance your bathroom.

To remove everyday dirt or product from your mirrors, we’d recommend wiping them clean using a soft cloth and some surgical spirit.

Remove mould

It’s inevitable that your bathroom will succumb to daily wear and tear at some point, however, there are lots of preventative measures that you can take to optimise the longevity of your bathroom.

And a great way to remove mould from the surfaces in your bathroom is to dip an old toothbrush into a mixture of bleach and water. Apply a healthy dose of elbow grease and your bathroom is sure to look as good as new in no time at all.

Keep your taps looking shiny

There is nothing worse than taps that are have lost their shine, right? And if you have brass fixtures in your bathroom, you’ve probably already realised that they can look tarnished pretty quickly.

To maintain their shine, we’d recommend mixing some bicarbonate soda and lemon juice together, and lightly scrub your fixtures. Leave the mixture on the taps for a few minutes and then rinse.

Toilet Seat stains

A toilet seat that has stains on it is instantly off putting. And if you find yourself constantly tackling stubborn stains, why not try using a pumice stone to clean your toilet?

Ensuring that you keep the stone wet, simply rub it around the ring of your toilet until the stains are completely gone.
