The bathroom trends set to make a splash in 2016

There’s not a season that goes by without a catalogue of new and exciting trends making their way into the world of interior design – it certainly keeps us on our toes!

And, as 2016 fast approaches (can you believe how quickly this year has flown by?), we thought it was about time that we revealed some of the hottest bathroom trends set to make a splash in 2016.

So, if you’re thinking of updating or renovating your bathroom in the New Year, you might want to take note right about now. We’ve complied a list of some of our favourite new bathroom trends that will allow you to create a relaxing, stylish, and accommodating bathroom space.

Cool blue and green

Next year will see a colour palette of blue and green have their moment, dominating the world of bathroom design. But, best of all, this effective colour scheme is super versatile, meaning you can allow it to dominate your space as little or as much as you want.

If you don’t want these colours to impose on too much of your space, why not use accent tiles, accessories, or even create a feature wall?

And, if shades of blue and green are not your thing, you’ll be pleased to hear that pinks and corals in every tone imaginable are also set to take 2016 by storm.

Make way for timber!

Next year is all about bringing the outside in and introducing natural resources into your home…. that means plenty of timber.

And believe us, when used in the right way, it looks great!

Whether you integrate timber flooring, doors, or even a timber feature wall, it’s the perfect way to inject elements of nature, texture and warmth into your bathroom. It certainly gets the thumbs up from us!

Big Tiles

Next year is all about making a statement in your bathroom, introducing bold, colourful tiles into your space.

Think oversized tiles with interesting patterns or pops of vibrant colour, that will instantly brighten and add interest and personality to your bathroom. However, when it comes to interior design, sometimes less is more… so if large tiles are not your thing, tiny feature tiles and mosaics are set to be as equally big next season!

Another key colour-way to look out for is anything metallic – from investing in a copper bathtub to integrating brass taps, the possibilities of this trends are endless.

Industrial chic

If you’re looking to create a bathroom space that is cool, contemporary and takes its inspiration from industrial style cues, the industrial chic look is for you. Think cool, understated concrete walls and worktops that are perfectly capable of adding a new dimension to your space.

Indoor plants

Bringing the outdoors in will be everywhere in 2016. From integrating hanging baskets, climbing walls and every plant imaginable, this is a trend that lends itself to all decors and spaces, whilst creating a calming and relaxing environment.
