Give your bathroom a colour boost!

Give your bathroom a colour boost!

Typically, neutral shades are the go-to choice for bathrooms, with the majority of people sticking to whites, creams, and pastel shades.

But there’s no reason why you can’t inject bold, strong colours into your bathroom – giving it a fresh, stylish feel and stamping your own personal touch on the space.

Even if your bathroom is small, there are plenty of ways to go bold, without going overboard. Here are our top tips for injecting colour into your bathroom design, whilst keeping a clean, put-together feel…

Paint the walls

An easy and affordable way to add colour into your bathroom is to paint the walls. Select the shade that you want on your walls first and then build the rest of your colour scheme around it.

Feature wall

If the prospect of adding colour to the entire room is a bit too daunting for you, why not focus your colour onto one feature wall?

The key to pulling this off is to pick the right wall, ideally one that already has a strong focal point, or the one that’s directly opposite the door.

Coloured Units

It’s easy to add a pop of colour to your space using cabinets, cupboards, or shelves. A brightly coloured unit will look great against a neutral background and really make an impact in your space.

Colourful Tiles

Tiles are another great way to add elements of colour into your bathroom. But, rather than covering the entire room in your chosen tile, use colourful tiles to draw attention to a focal point, such as your shower or vanity unit.

Bold Bath

The bath tub is often overlooked when it comes to injecting colour into a bathroom, but this is a great, contemporary way to make a real impact.

There are a variety of options and finishes available, including copper and painted porcelain – just make sure you choose a colour you’ll be happy with for the foreseeable future!

Feature Flooring

Rather than sticking to white or other neutral tiles, why not use your bathroom flooring to inject elements of colour?

Whether you choose a grey or dark wood finish, a brightly coloured tile, or anything in between, this is a sure fire way to make your room stand out!

Accessories

Of course, if you don’t want to commit to long-term colour, why not opt for a traditional neutral suite but bring it to life with a variety of colourful accessories?

From towels, soap dispensers, and storage baskets, through to toothbrush holders and other accessories, there are plenty of opportunities to introduce pops of colour. Updating your shower curtain is another great way to add colour and freshen up your bathroom, quickly and simply.
